Community Sweat Lodge 

Greetings fellow travelers, please join us as we spend time in ceremony, prayer and service. We welcome supporters as well as those who wish to sweat.  The lodge door will open at noon. We will light the fire together at approximately 9 am. All those who wish to help prepare the space (chop/haul wood, carry water, cover the lodge, make prayer ties), please arrive by 9 am. Directions to our home are below.

Please bring

Sweat lodge attire (cotton dresses for women and shorts for men)
Slip on shoes or sandals to walk on the wet ground if that bothers you
Water bottle
Blanket and Towel
Snacks to eat during the day for yourself if you need energy
$10 donation for wood if possible or some kind of energy
Tobacco offerings if you have special prayers
Blanket(s) for donation to the lodge (Second hand stores have great deals; heavy/dark blankets are best) if you feel drawn to bring one
Lodge drums and rattles if you have them
An item for a community potluck feast at the end of the sweat
Medicine pipes and other sacred objects that call to be with you during this time
An open heart and mind

From I-5 take the 56th street exit in Tacoma
Go east on 56th about 9 block or so
Turn left on K street heading north
